Brownell Boat Stands & Equipment yesterday announced the introduction of a Service Station, composed of a pedestal and rotating T-mount. Created for engine technicians, the station can be fitted with either a lower unit and outdrive or an outboard fixture. It can be floor-mounted or set up as a bench-top unit.
“We’ve put a great deal of thought into the development of the Service Station, designing it to make servicing outboards and outdrives easy,” Brownell president Alex Kavanaugh said in a statement. “Like all of our products, our customers can count on the durability of the Service Station, made in the U.S. using U.S. steel.”
The pedestal base can be rotated 360-degrees, while the T-mount can be fixed at 45-degree increments for manipulating bulky components. Adjustable handles allow for optimal leverage when locking and unlocking rotating sections, and a positive locking pin prevents accidental rotation of larger components or top-heavy outboards.
As an option, Brownell offers a tray that works with the pedestal mount to hold tools, parts and other items technicians use.
