Catalina Yachts announced that it is stopping production after current orders are filled. In a statement by company president Patrick Turner, he cites “short-term financial challenges” and indicates the Florida-based builder will return to production.
“We have initiated a temporary production pause while we reorganize key areas of our operation,” Turner stated in a Facebook post. “Like many manufacturers in today’s environment, we are navigating short-term financial challenges. Rather than pushing ahead in a way that could compromise quality or consistency, we have chosen to take a responsible pause while we finalize the support needed to move forward stronger.”
According to the post, all existing orders “remain in place and will be fulfilled. Our dealer network remains available to assist with sales, service, and warranty matters.”
Michael Reardon of Daedalus Yachts purchased Catalina and True North Yachts earlier this year.
