The Coast Guard Foundation announced that children of Coast Guard members — active duty, active-duty reserve and retired — can apply for scholarships from Feb. 1 to April 1. The awards awards range from $2,500 to $5,000.
“With college getting more expensive year after year, it’s always a matter of great priority for us to be able to provide support to the children and families of Coast Guard service members,” foundation president Susan Ludwig said in a statement. “We’re so proud to be able to support these impressive young people as they work toward a brighter future.”
Now in its fourth decade, the program has handed out more than $7.5 million in scholarships.
