The Coast Guard’s “2023 Recreational Boating Statistics” annual report shows that non-fatal injuries also declined year-over-year.
Five individuals were elected to a three-year term, bringing the total number of active trustees and directors to 75.
The program awards $2,500 to $5,000 to high-school seniors and college-age children of Coast Guard members.
The organization plans to provide emergency support for Coast Guard members, who will not be paid if the government shuts down.
The annual Run to Remember will take place Memorial Day weekend to raise funds for the foundation’s tragedy assistance programs.
