The Coast Guard Foundation will hold its 14th annual tribute to the Coast Guard’s 14th District on March 30 at the Hale Koa Hotel in Honolulu.
There will be a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by a 6:30 p.m. dinner and program.
The dinner is chaired by Dale Sause and will include an address by Adm. Paul Zukunft, commandant of the Coast Guard. The Coast Guard also will be represented by Rear Adm. Vincent Atkins, 14th District commander.
With more than 1,150 active-duty, 150 reserve, 80 civilian and 400 auxiliary men and women, the 14th District, boasts the Coast Guard’s largest area of responsibility.
The district covers more than 12.2 million square miles of land and sea, with units on Oahu; Maui; Kauai; the Big Island (Hawai’i); and in American Samoa; Saipan; Guam; Singapore; and Japan.
