The Electric WaterCraft Forum announced the lineup of boats that will participate in the inaugural event, scheduled for Oct. 22-23 at Lyman-Morse in Camden, Maine.
“The selection of boats that will be available to forum attendees offers an incredible opportunity to experience electric boating first-hand,” EWCF co-founder Kate Holden said in a press release. “Being able to see the systems, discuss the design and build process, and get out on the water is a highlight of this year’s event. The technology fueling innovation in marine electrification is developing rapidly and creating sustainable solutions that are more accessible than we think.”
The boat lineup includes:
- Freya, a 1907-vintage, 22-foot Faye & Bowen torpedo launch with an 8-kW steerable rim drive pod
- 24-foot Garvey-style aluminum workboat with a Flux Marine FM 115 outboard
- Solar Sal, a 24-foot cuddy cruiser with a Torqeedo Cruise 3.0 motor
- Isobel, 26-foot, 6-inch runabout with a RAD 40 outboard

“Cutting edge, zero-emissions technology combined with Maine’s deep traditions of quality craftmanship and innovative problem-solving is a recipe for success for the industry and our state,” EWCF co-founder Ellery Brown said in the release.
