Ingenity Electric is hosting “The Ingenity Experience” on Lake Tahoe this summer to showcase the world’s first electric towboat.
In partnership with Homewood High and Dry Marina, Superior Boat Repair and Sales, and Tahoe Surf Co., The Ingenity Experience offers outings daily from June through August aboard the Super Air Nautique GS22E.
“You won’t be able to tell the boat is electric by the wave you’re surfing, but hundreds of pounds of CO2 emissions are saved every time the boat goes out,” Sean Marrero, president of Ingenity Electric, said in a statement. “We are extremely excited to showcase this on some of the bluest waters in existence in Lake Tahoe.”
Ingenity, a Correct Craft company, will supply water-sports gear, a licensed captain and a coach for the outings.
“It’s hard to come to a special place like Lake Tahoe and not feel an awesome responsibility for maintaining its beauty for future generations,” Marrero said.
