“It was a privilege to have worked with Dave Irish on a daily basis and then be given the opportunity to serve and lead Irish Boat Shop for these many years,” Esposito said in a statement. “I believe Irish Boat Shop has made a difference in the lives of its employees, the communities we work in and protecting the waters of Lake Michigan and the Great Lakes basin.”
During Esposito’s tenure as president, Irish Boat Shop modernized its facilities in Harbor Springs and Charlevoix, Mich., and opened a new sales and service facility in Traverse City, Mich.
Esposito was part of the America II syndicate in the 1986 America’s Cup and competed in the Midget Ocean Racing Conference national championships, the Southern Ocean Racing Conference, Block Island Race Week, the Newport-Bermuda Race and Onion Patch Series.
