Mobile connectivity and communications provider KVH Industries yesterday announced in a statement that its board of directors appointed Brent C. Bruun president and CEO, and a member of the board. The board also appointed David Kagan and David Tolley directors.

Bruun has been KVH’s interim president and CEO since March, having joined the company in 2008, according to the statement. He also served as chief operating officer starting in 2016.

“We would like to congratulate Brent on his appointment as president and chief executive officer,” board chairman Cathy-Ann Martine-Dolecki said in the statement. “He has the right experience, deep knowledge of KVH and our products and services, and management capabilities to successfully execute on our long-term strategy.”

Martine-Dolecki said Kagan, who is CEO of Globalstar, is a satellite industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience.

“He brings executive leadership and turnaround expertise, as well as finance and transaction experience,” she said.

She added that Tolley has decades of capital markets, financial and operating experience, having served most recently as CFO of Intelsat and OneWeb.

“He also brings expertise investing across the satellite and telecommunications industry and has significant board experience,” Martine-Dolecki said.
