The Marina Industries Association today announced the appointment of Luke Habermann as membership and programs manager. Habermann has 20 years of marina experience, including managing wet and dry storage operations.

“Luke’s operational experience will not only give him a deep insight into our members’ support needs, but he will be a great contributor to the development of our training programs,” MIA CEO Suzanne Davies said in a statement.

Additionally, Habermann has skippered and maintained charter and tour vessels. Most recently, he served as a harbor controller with Maritime Safety Queensland.

“I am very excited to join the Marina Industries Association team and will have plenty of operational knowledge that will equip me to support members,” Habermann said in the statement. “Having worked in and around marinas for many years, I have seen the importance of many of the MIA’s programs and how they assist marina businesses to increase their efficiency, remain compliant and grow stronger.”
