Tennessee-based Marine Accessories Corp. said it added Fishmaster T-tops to its portfolio of OEM and aftermarket brands.
Fishmaster is a Cumming, Ga.-based company that builds patented folding aftermarket T-tops for boats to accommodate low bridge clearance and storage.
Although T-tops are typically associated with fishing boats, the Fishmaster top can be installed on most center console boats to afford shade, weather protection and additional storage.
Fishmaster founder Bill Bierbower started the company in 2006 after the sale of his previous company, Monster Tower, also to Marine Accessories Corp.
“The Fishmaster acquisition is another step in the execution of MAC’s strategy to expand our direct aftermarket business,” Marine Accessories Corp. CEO Rick Reyenger said in a statement.
“Additionally, by promoting Fishmaster globally through Marine Accessories Europe B.V. — our marketing and distribution office in The Netherlands — we will also make progress relative to our international growth strategy.”
Reyenger said Marine Accessories Europe showcased the product at the 2017 Dusseldorf Boat Show in Germany, and it resulted in numerous sales and dealer distribution inquiries.
