The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association hosted its annual BOB Conference on Jan. 22. The conference, held in Foxboro, Mass., brought together just under 200 attendees and provided industry updates, sales and service data, and other educational and networking sessions.

“Thanks to attendees, speakers and sponsors for their participation and support, which helped make BOB such a success,” MMTA president Marie Hayward said in a statement. “This annual gathering of the Massachusetts recreational boating community, across all its dimensions, exemplifies MMTA’s mission to educate, collaborate and communicate. We look forward to the 2026 boating season ahead.”

Additionally, MMTA named State Rep. Kathy LaNatra Legislative Official of the Year. Massachusetts state legislators in attendance included Boating Caucus co-chairs Sen. Paul Feeney and Rep. Steven Xiarhos.

The conference welcomed nearly 25 school administrators, instructors and students from 10 schools, reinforcing that “we have the jobs/careers available; we just need the people to fill them,” the statement said.
