Jennifer Luke of Safe Harbor Marinas, Justus Horton of Port of Egypt Marine and Reed Kelsey of Mill Creek Marina each received $1,000 to be used for secondary education expenses.
The association said in a statement that the scholarships are awarded to an employee or direct family member of an AMI member in good standing. Recipients are students who will be attending any post-secondary education program, or currently attend any post-secondary education or vocational program. Applicants must write a one-page essay on a topic chosen by the AMI board of directors. This year’s topic was, “What keeps young people away from boating?”
