The National Marine Manufacturers Association board of directors elected Correct Craft president and CEO Bill Yeargin to chairman. Yeargin previously was vice chair and has served on the NMMA board for more than 10 years.

“Bill is one of our industry’s greatest champions, contributing much of his time and energy to unite the recreational boating industry as we work together to continue positioning our industry as the leader in outdoor recreation,” NMMA president and CEO Frank Hugelmeyer said in a statement. “We are fortunate to have Bill’s expertise, passion and commitment to boating as our board chair, as his leadership will be a guiding light as we deliver NMMA’s strategic plan.”

Correct Craft is a 98-year-old company that includes eight boat brands, four engine manufacturers and three watersports parks. Yeargin is a certified public accountant, certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and is certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and DISC.

In addition to the NMMA board, Yeargin serves on boards for the Florida Council of 100 and the Florida Chamber of Commerce. He served on cabinet-level advisory councils in the Obama and Trump administrations, and represents the industry on national and state issues.
