Doug Zurn, founder and principal of Zurn Yacht Design, announced the launch of brokerage services through Zurn Yachts. Based in Marblehead, Mass., the new division will provide brokerage services for yacht buyers and sellers, drawing on the firm’s experience in yacht design, naval architecture and vessel construction.
“Brokerage, in our view, should be more than listing inventory,” Zurn said in a statement. “It should give buyers and sellers access to genuine understanding — how a boat was built, why it performs the way it does, what has aged well, and where true value resides.”
The company said its brokerage approach differs from traditional transaction-focused models by emphasizing technical expertise, including hull design, structural engineering, systems integration and long-term ownership considerations. Zurn said the service is intended to help clients better understand the design, performance and value of prospective purchases.
