U.S. outboard wholesale shipments were up 5 percent year-over-year on a rolling 12-month basis through March.

This is based on the NMMA’s control group of manufacturers, which represents 95 percent of the market.

Gains were led by 4-strokes and higher-powered engines, the NMMA reported.

Total retail sales, based on warranty card registrations for the same period, were up 8.4 percent.
