The Science, Technology, Engineering and Production Ahead Awards, which recognize women in manufacturing who exemplify leadership within their companies, are accepting nominations.
STEP Ahead honors women on a national platform — from the factory floor to the executive suite — who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in manufacturing.
The National Marine Manufacturers Association is urging manufacturers to nominate a female peer or colleague for the award.
Last year’s winners in the marine industry included Grady-White Boats president Kris Carroll, Brunswick Boat Group supply chain vice president Jan Morton, Mercury Marine project engineer Katelyn Vara, and Mercury Marine plant operation manager Marcea Weiss.
Past marine industry winners include Marcia Kull, Lori Melbostad, Ann Baldree and Joan Maxwell.
Women in the marine industry continue to make waves and are being recognized for their significant impact, leadership and success.
Nominations will close Sept. 29.
