The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission named November Manatee Awareness Month.
FWC said in a statement that it’s important to follow posted guidelines and abide by manatee protection zones. It recommends wearing polarized glasses so manatees can be seen beneath the surface, and giving the mammals plenty of space.
