Outer Reef Yachts yesterday announced a strategic merger with Netherlands-based Lynx Yachts, a move the long-distance motoryacht builder said is designed to strengthen its position in Europe.

“Expanding our presence in the Netherlands and integrating the highly regarded Lynx Yachts management team into our operations marks a significant milestone for Outer Reef Yachts,” CEO Jeff Druek said in a statement. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to innovation and quality, enabling us to meet the growing demand for adventure yachting across Europe, the United States, Australia and beyond.”

The Lynx yard, located in Nijkerk, will operate as Outer Reef Yachts – Netherlands. The first model built at the facility, the Outer Reef Yachts Adventure 780, is under construction and is scheduled to launch in February.

Outer Reef said it conducted a year-long evaluation of European shipyard options, including Turkish and Dutch facilities. Ultimately, Lynx and its renowned build process stood out.
