Proteum, a U.K.-based marine equipment distributor and service provider, announced a five-year extension to its agreement to distribute OXE Marine diesel outboards in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Proteum has also been awarded a new OXE distribution license for Norway and Iceland.
“Proteum’s relationship with OXE Marine is going from strength to strength,” Proteum general manager Neil Taylor said in a statement. “The extension of our current U.K. agreement, along with our new territory, is a testament to that. We have been with OXE from the beginning and have seen continued growth in sales year on year. We look forward to replicating this success in the Norwegian and Icelandic markets.”
Proteum said OXE diesel outboards are well-suited for these markets, including search-and-rescue vessels, as well as support boats for offshore wind farms and salmon farms.
