Absolute Yachts — builder of flybridge and long-range cruising vessels from 47 to 73 feet — have tapped Bowman Marketing to increase the Italian manufacturer’s presence in North America. Rob Bowman has been in the marine industry for over 15 years and has worked in both sales and marketing at dealerships before founding his marine-focused marketing consulting business. “We are excited to be working with Bowman Marketing to help improve our U.S.-based advertising strategy”, said Absolute of Americas president Cesare Mastroianni in a statement. “Absolute’s popularity has grown substantially in recent years in North America and Rob’s yachting industry expertise in this important market will assist our dealer network with reaching more customers and generating more leads.”
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has expanded its Fish Rules app to include freshwater regulations. The Fish Rules App — which is also partnering with the South Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico fishery management councils — automatically shows regulations for the user’s location, as rules can change based on geography. It also helps anglers identify unfamiliar species so they know how to handle them. “This is the kind of app that helps agencies like FWC help anglers keep up to date on regulations, fish identification and so much more,” said FWC marine fisheries management director Jessica McCawley in a statement. “We’ve been encouraging use of this app, known for its quality, for years and are happy about the release of the freshwater version as well.”
