RAD Propulsion, the UK-based manufacturer of electric drive systems, announced its expansion into the U.S. with the opening of an office in Charleston, S.C. The move marks the next stage in RAD’s business plan to build on its partnerships, including its ongoing collaboration with Zodiac of North America.
“Establishing a base in Charleston is an important milestone for RAD,” sales director Simon Payne said in a statement. “It not only strengthens our ability to support customers across North America, but also symbolizes the growth of RAD as we build a dedicated team in the U.S. to accelerate adoption of our technology.”
RAD Propulsion’s clients include Volare Boats, also based in Charleston. RAD’s first product to market is the RAD 40 electric drive.
