Metstrade organizer RAI Amsterdam yesterday announced that it acquired The Superyacht Forum from The Superyacht Group. The conference, which gathers participants from across the superyacht industry, has been held in Amsterdam for more than 30 years.

Superyacht Group chairman Martin Redmayne will serve as a consultant going forward.

“The Superyacht Forum is in good hands with RAI Amsterdam,” Redmayne said in a statement. “It’s a logical transition toward a highly capable organization, as evidenced by the great success of Metstrade.

“I have full confidence and am pleased to remain closely involved with The Superyacht Forum, albeit in a strategic role,” he added. “This transition allows The Superyacht Group and I to focus on our future strategy of delivering valuable information, intelligence and high-level industry consultancy services.”

The Superyacht Forum attracts hundreds of speakers and delegates. Its co-location has been a significant component of Metstrade’s SuperYacht Pavilion, which occupies three halls.

“The team here sees countless future opportunities for this event and looks forward to working with its existing partners,” Metstrade director Niels Klarenbeek said in the statement. “Together, we will continue to grow the success of this market-leading conference, run for, and by, the superyacht industry.”

The next edition of The Superyacht Forum is scheduled for Nov. 18-19.

Metstrade is scheduled for Nov. 19-21.
