Scarab Jet Boats announced the appointment of Sean Gatesy as director of sales. Gatesy will also succeed Don Smith as brand director later this year when Smith retires from Groupe Beneteau after a 40-year career in the marine industry.
“I am excited to welcome Sean Gatesy to the Scarab team and work with him in the transition. His experience and background are a great fit to lead the Scarab brand for 2025 and beyond,” Smith said in a statement.
Gatesy has held positions at BRP, Jackson Dawson and Textron/Arctic Cat, and has extensive experience in the powersports market. He will work to expand and strengthen Scarab’s distribution network and product scope, the statement said.
