Instead of focusing on individuals or products, the program acknowledges companies that use innovation and creativity to advance their business and the recreational boating industry. The awards are open to companies around the world that supply or service the marine industry.
“Every year companies disrupt the marketplace and make decisions and redirections across a range of initiatives that transform a company’s business and positively impact the marine industry, pushing it forward,” Michele Goldsmith, vice president and general manager of Soundings Trade Only Group, said in a statement. “We recognize companies that are well-rounded with broad initiatives, goals and innovations.”
The awards panel will review a broad range of company initiatives that include business development, technology, workforce solutions, innovative materials, new manufacturing processes, supply-chain management, sustainability and more. The judging panel will include Active Interest Media and Soundings Trade Only editors, as well as industry experts.
“Innovation in all its forms is what drives our industry,” Gary Reich, Soundings Trade Only editor-in-chief, said in the statement. “In recognizing these efforts, we seek to spotlight the forward-thinking companies that are making boating safer and more enjoyable while creating satisfying, sustainable workplaces for their employees.”
The awards will focus on the period from Aug. 16, 2022, through Aug. 17, 2023. Companies can submit applications online tradeonlytoday.com/enter from June 1 through Aug. 18.
The top ten winners, including first place, will be recognized at the Soundings Trade Only awards ceremony on Monday, Oct. 2, at the Tampa Marriott Water Street. The order of winners will be reveled in Soundings Trade Only’s November issue and online at TradeOnlyToday.com.
