Star brite announced today that Erik Applegate was appointed president. As part of the transition, Gregor Dornau, who has served as president since 2022, will move into a senior-advisor role, continuing his involvement with the company.
Following OneWater Marine’s 2022 acquisition of Star brite, Dornau, the son of company founder Peter Dornau, was appointed president, and named Applegate executive vice president.
“Erik has been my right hand for many years, leading significant divisions of our company,” Dornau said in a statement. “His passion, intellect and work ethic position him to be a great leader. With the strength of our team around him, I’m confident the winning culture and continued success of Star brite are in good hands.”
Applegate has been with Star brite for more than 12 years, starting as an intern and rising through the ranks, managing major retail and distribution accounts.
