PHOTO COURTESY THEY WILL FISH AGAINTACO Marine announced that it is sponsoring They Will Fish Again, which provides events for adaptive anglers organized by the non-profit Life Rolls On Foundation. The foundation was established by three-time world champion quadriplegic surfer and adaptive angler Jesse Billauer.
The first event, scheduled for May 19, will embark from San Pedro, Calif., and take 30 anglers, who are mostly wheelchair-bound, out for a day of fishing aboard a 75-foot boat.
“TACO Marine proudly supports this initiative as a presenting sponsor, recognizing the profound impact it has on the lives of participants,” marketing manager Dana Koman said in a statement.
They Will Fish Again seeks to break down barriers and demonstrate that with the right support and resources, anyone can enjoy fishing.
“My whole life is about surfing and fishing,” Billauer said in the statement. “Out of a necessity, and for me the love of fishing, I wanted to give back and start They Will Fish Again, and it was a big success.”
