The International Council of Marine Industry Associations announced that The Foiling Organization is now a sustaining member.
The non-profit association for foiling technology includes boatyards, component manufacturers, designers, universities, research facilities, professional sailors, yacht clubs and institutions. The group’s goal is to promote foiling across the marine industry with a network approach.
“The Foiling Organization is growing so fast around the world, and we felt that being part of an international group who are dedicated to the recreational boating industry would help us on our journey to bring foiling into the mainstream,” Luca Rizzotti, founder of The Foiling Organization, said in a statement.
In November, Metstrade and The Foiling Organization launched the Foiling Technology Pavilion at the show. The organization also established headquarters in Genoa, Italy.
“The potential for foiling to transform the customer experience afloat, to open up new exciting opportunities and to positively impact the sustainability of our industry is huge,” said ICOMIA CEO Joe Lynch.
