U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) toured Yamaha’s 75,280-square-foot Marine Innovation Center in Kennesaw, Ga., earlier this month, meeting with employees and executives to learn about the company’s economic impact, workforce opportunities, and sustainable technology initiatives. The center houses the Yamaha Marine Connected Division, U.S. Marine Development, Product Management, and Technical Marketing teams.
“I was pleased to hear about their outstanding efforts across Georgia in habitat conservation and responsible resource management,” Carter said in a statement. “Yamaha’s commitment to excellence is well-demonstrated through its leadership in innovation and investments in the local community.”
As a member of the Congressional Boating Caucus, Carter has supported initiatives vital to the recreational boating sector, such as workforce development, supply-chain resiliency, infrastructure investment and environmental stewardship, the statement said. His engagement underscores what Yamaha executives called a “balanced approach” to growing the industry while protecting marine environments.
