Vision Marine Technologies, a Canadian builder of electric boats, has partnered with Nautical Ventures Group to distribute a new recyclable boat, the Phantom. Nautical Ventures will have exclusive dealer rights for Florida and a non-exclusive distributor agreement for the United States.
Nautical Ventures agreed to purchase a minimum of 50 Phantoms in the first year, with a retail value of $1.5 million. The company has has seven dealership locations throughout Florida.

“We have been active marketing partners with Vision Marine since 2018, having carried its electric boat line,” Roger Moore, CEO of Nautical Ventures Group, said in a statement. “[Vision Marine CEO] Alex Mongeon and his team are always on the cutting edge of innovation, and we embrace this new partnership going forward.”
Vision Marine uses recyclable polyethylene plastics in its rotomolding process to produce a light, unsinkable hull that can accommodate up 10 passengers and can carry an outboard rated to 50 hp. The Phantom is Coast Guard- and Canadian Coast Guard-certified, as well as C.E.-certified, according to Vision Marine.
Vision says the self-bailing Phantom is 30 percent lighter than a similar size fiberglass boat.

Vision Marine Technologies is perhaps best known for its 180-hp e-Motion electric outboard. The company also manufactures a variety of electric boats and is partnering with France’s Groupe Beneteau.
