The Water Sports Industry Association has brought aboard Brad Fralick as chief government affairs officer and promoted James Krawczyk to director of operations.
The non-profit WSIA said the moves will help strengthen its mission of promoting the towed water sports industry, with an emphasis on safety.
“There will be a bigger commitment by the WSIA in governmental affairs by proactively spreading the message state-by-state as well as supporting grassroots efforts,” Robert Oswell, WSIA president, said in a statement.

Fralick has 30 years of experience in multi-state lobbying and is a lifelong water sports enthusiast. He has worked with non-profits and government agencies to develop legislation to keep waters safe. “I know the industry. I know what the issues are. It’s a vibrant, growing industry. I’m very excited to be a part of this great team.”
Krawczyk, a 14-year staff member of WSIA, helped create its educational and promotional campaigns such as Wake Responsibly and Families for Boating. As director of operations, Krawczyk will be tasked with marketing, partnering with manufacturers and other organizations, and placing greater emphasis on safety promotion and education campaigns.
Krawczyk said that he is “honored to transition to this leadership role and for the opportunity to help grow this multi-billion-dollar segment of the boating industry.”
