Organizers of the Miami International Boat Show said they added more boats larger than 40 feet this year at the show’s new location on Virginia Key, which has a deepwater basin.

The National Marine Manufacturers Association, which produces the show, did not provide numbers, but it said there was a 33 percent increase in boats larger than 40 feet and a 50 percent increase in boats 50 feet and larger at the show.

The NMMA said the 2016 show, held during the Presidents Day weekend in February, had more than 2,000 exhibitors, many of whom reported sales increases of 20 to 400 percent and a 4 percent increase in attendance to 100,279.
