Viking Yacht Co. reported record attendance and strong sales at the Miami Yacht Show and Miami International Boat Show, which ran concurrently Feb. 14-19, drawing a combined 7,350 visitors to its booths. Viking sold nine yachts during the shows and has an additional 10 deals in the works on yachts.
“We’re extremely pleased with the Miami Yacht Show’s new downtown location,” said Viking president and CEO Patrick Healey in a statement. “Everything from the increased parking to the added space for vendors to the fresh, new waterfront layout helped make this a first-class exposition and a major success. We have every reason to look forward to next year with great optimism.”

Sales activity has been brisk for the entire month of February, the company said. In addition to the nine boats sold in Miami, Viking sealed deals on six yachts at its annual VIP preview Feb. 1-2 at its service center in Riviera Beach, Fla.
Viking said it will unveil the 38 Open Billfish and 46 Billfish at its annual dealer meeting in September. It also plans to introduce the Valhalla Boatworks V Series center consoles. The V-33, V-37 and V-41, along with the 38 Open Billfish and 46 Billfish, will make their world debuts at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Oct. 30-Nov. 3.
“Obviously it’s a very exciting time here at Viking,” Healey said. “We maintain our status in the industry by continually developing and being progressive with all of our products. This is what the Viking Yacht Co. does — build a better boat every day.”
