AkzoNobel announced that Fredrik Westin will be the company’s chief financial officer as of Jan. 1, 2026. Westin will succeed Maarten de Vries — who is completing his second four-year term as CFO — as part of a structured succession process.
“Fredrik is a seasoned financial leader with a proven track record of enhancing profitability, even in challenging markets,” Ben Noteboom, chair of AkzoNobel’s supervisory board, said in a statement. “His experience and insights will play an important role in driving operational efficiency and fostering sustainable growth across the organization.”
Since May 2020, Westin has been the CFO at Autoliv, an automotive safety-system supplier. He previously held CFO roles at Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology, and Johnson Controls.
