FLIBS producer moves to new Ft. Lauderdale offices

Informa Exhibitions, producer of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and Miami Yacht Show, is expanding its presence in the United States with the opening of a 7,700-square-foot office in Fort Lauderdale.

Lauderdale Marine Center expands Foreign Trade Zone

Lauderdale Marine Center has received Production Authority under its existing Foreign Trade Zone. Provided by the U.S. Customs & Border Protection, the designation is the first of its kind in the recreational marine industry and it allows work to be performed on international vessels while they are in the FTZ.

An impromptu celebration broke out at the Viking Yachts display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on Nov. 3 when the saloon doors of a Viking 92 Convertible flew open and it was announced that the boat had been sold.

Informa said the 58th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show attracted an audience of about 105,000 international buyers, sellers and visitors from more than 50 countries and attendance was up 7 percent from 2016.
