The graph at left shows the average price by length for used boats between 15 and 50 feet that were first listed on Boat Trader between Oct. 1, 2014, and Sept. 30 this year.
The actual price averages are shown with a blue line; the trend line is shown in red. Peaks in pricing appear at 23 to 24 feet, 28 to 29 feet, 40 feet and 45 feet.
Generally speaking, the graph shows once again that every additional foot adds exponentially to the pricing. It should also be noted that the majority of the boats listed for sale on Boat Trader are shorter than 30 feet.
