In the second month of our series studying interest demonstrated on Boat Trader in some of the more popular classes by state, we move from a ranking of listing views of boats for saltwater fishing to motoryachts.
Website traffic data was recorded from July through December of last year.
Florida again leads the list with nearly double the views of the next state. High-population coastal states California, New York and Texas follow, all with more than 100,000 views. Rounding out the top five is Michigan, which may be a freshwater state but is, like Florida, nearly surrounded by water.
The rest of the top 10 is also dominated by boating states with major metropolitan areas, including two more states on the Great Lakes, Illinois and Ohio.
