West Marine has launched Boat Commissioning Essentials, an online tool designed for boaters to purchase products across different categories.
Located on its website, the Essentials are divided into categories, boat types and lengths. Once the specific boat has been selected, a list of all required gear and boating essentials is available. These items can either be added to the West Marine online cart individually, or as one complete order.
“At West Marine we strive every day to outfit, educate and inspire boaters, and this is part of that effort,” West Marine chief marketing officer Aaron Carpenter told Trade Only Today. “We’ve listened to customers who have purchased a new or used boat who want to easily outfit and commission their new investment. This tool delivers that and also helps our associates provide better support to customers visiting any one of our more than 240 stores.”
Lists of gear are available for power/fishing boats, sail boats, ski boats, pontoon boats, kayaks and dinghies in a variety of lengths and types.
“We developed this resource for new boaters to improve their boat-buying experience and get them out on the water faster,” said Carpenter in a statement. “There isn’t another tool this complete out in the market right now and we are proud to be the first to provide this resource.”
