Boatsetter, a leading peer-to-peer boat rental network, has announced the launch of Boatsetter Lux, a fleet of high-end term or day charters in more than 600 locations worldwide.
Boatsetter is part of a partnership with Airbnb Luxe and Luxury Retreats, offering access to Boatsetter yachts for those staying in luxury homes or villas.

“Boatsetter Lux allows us to make yachting accessible to a broader audience both in the U.S. and internationally. At the onset of the pandemic, we anticipated the return of travel and saw an opportunity to organically grow our mid to high-end luxury experiences in a new venue,” said Boatsetter cofounder and CEO Jaclyn Baumgarten.
According to the company, Boatsetter Lux tailors each yacht rental to the customer’s preferences, offering afternoon sails to voyages with fully crewed yachts.
“In 2019 at Airbnb Luxe, Boatsetter was our most booked partner for additional services around the world. It became second nature to offer a cruise on their vessels as clients often described it as the highlight of their trip,” said Johann Jacquot of Airbnb Luxe. “Boatsetter’s platform is so easy to use, and their service team is so helpful, that they became an extension of our offering. In a nutshell, it’s the perfect match,”

The Boatsetter Lux charter service is available across the U.S. and globally in locations such as the Bahamas, Mexico, Greece, Italy, Turkey, France and Southeast Asia.
According to Boatsetter, the Lux service has significantly contributed to the company’s growth in Q1 of this year, with revenue increasing nearly 300 percent.
