The Genoa International Boat Show opens today with press events, and the main show runs Sept. 18-23. The six-day show will feature more than 90 conferences and workshops, sustainability-focused sessions and the Design Innovation Award, chaired this year by designer Walter De Silva. The show will include 123 new products and 96 global premieres.
“The Genoa International Boat Show is everyone’s show,” Italian Marine Industry Association president Piero Formenti said in a statement. “It is a show for the industry as a whole, a show for the entire supply chain… and represents Italian production on the global stage.”
Central themes for this year’s edition are innovation, sustainability, market protection and global vocation, the statement said. The show will also see the announcement of a multiyear partnership with the America’s Cup, with plans to support the organization of the 2027 regatta in Naples. The agreement will be signed at the Genoa Boat Show on Saturday.
Other show highlights include the World Yachting Sustainability Forum and the roundtable promoted by the European Boating Industry Federation. TechTrade Days 2025 has a B2B format dedicated to the latest industry innovations featuring more than 400 brands of equipment, accessories and components. The Design Innovation Award, promoted by the Italian Marine Industry Association and the Genoa show, celebrates research, excellence and innovation throughout the boating sector.
Today’s events include a “Boating Economic Forecast — Yachting in Figures” forum organized by the Italian Marine Industry Association in partnership with the Fondazione Edison.
