Heesen Yachts announced today its full acquisition by Dutch entrepreneur and investor Laurens Last. The acquisition strengthens the company’s finances and “ensures its ongoing dedication to building industry-leading yachts,” a company statement said.
“This acquisition is more than investment — it’s a dream,” Last said in the statement. “Heesen represents the pinnacle of Dutch engineering and maritime craftsmanship. I am honored to take ownership and ensure the brand continues to flourish for generations to come.”
Founded in 1978, Heesen specializes in the design, engineering and construction of steel and aluminum, custom and semicustom motoryachts from 50 to 80 meters.
