Longtime Cruisers Yachts owner Kenneth Charles (K.C.) Stock died Nov. 28. He was 84.
“The one statement that best describes K.C. is his love and commitment to the employees at Cruisers Yachts,” Mark Pedersen, president of Cruisers Yachts, said in a statement. “Anytime he would visit, he would first ask how many team members were working and then walked the floor to visit them.”
KCS International, the parent company of Cruisers Yachts, expanded its manufacturing and production capacity by acquiring the Pulaski, Wis., facility where Carver and Marquis yachts were built. Soon after the expansion, Stock searched for a successor who would keep the company in Wisconsin. In 2021, he sold it to MarineMax.
Stock believed in giving back to the community and started the K.C. Stock Foundation to help those in need. The foundation made the lead gift to start the Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
