Organizers of the recent Metstrade said the show set records for both attendance and number of exhibitors.

Held at RAI Amsterdam Nov. 19-21, the show hosted close to 1,600 exhibitors across 12 halls and received 31,824 visits from 19,779 unique visitors. Attendance increased 10% and 6%, respectively, compared with 2023, the previous high mark. Attendance records were surpassed on each of the three days at the show.

“It was clear from day one that this was going to be a blockbuster Metstrade,” Soundings Trade Only editor-in-chief Gary Reich said. “The halls were consistently full, and exhibitors repeatedly reported that the quality of the show was superb.”

Reich attended the show with Michele Goldsmith, vice president and general manager of the Soundings Trade Only Group. Both conducted on-stage interviews with industry leaders.

Show highlights included a sellout edition of The Superyacht Forum (held under Metstrade management for the first time) with 700 delegates attending. The premiere of the Yacht Racing Forum, in partnership with World Sailing, provided a new focal point for cutting-edge sailing.

“The excellent results of this year’s show provide a confident foundation on which to base ambitious plans for 2025,” Metstrade director Niels Klarenbeek said in a statement. “I’m pleased to announce that Metstrade will expand into Hall 8, which will add around 10,000 square meters of space.

“We are already looking forward to receiving the whole industry back to our largest-ever Metstrade in 2025 during Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary celebrations,” he added. “Our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making this year’s edition so successful.”
