After more than 40 years at the helm, Ocean Marketing president and CEO John Thommen has transitioned to chairman of the board. Additionally, vice president Jeff Cox was promoted to president, and regional sales manager Jeff Earl was promoted to vice president. Cox and Earl will also serve on the board.
“Jeff Cox and Jeff Earl are widely respected and highly experienced marine industry veterans, and their promotions to key leadership positions assures that Ocean Marketing will continue to collaborate with our OEM, distributor and retail partners with integrity for many years to come,” Thommen said in a press release.
During his time as CEO, Thommen received the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s Alan J. Freedman Memorial Leadership Award, which recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the marine accessories industry through leadership, creativity and personal motivation.
