Sportsman Boats announced that it promoted Brett Wilson to chief operations officer. Wilson has been with the company since 2016, starting as director of finance and transitioning to director of supply chain in 2020.

In his new role, Wilson will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations for Sportsman and sister brand Phenom Yachts.

“Brett has worn many hats over the years, consistently exceeding our expectations and driving success at every turn,” company president Russ Tomlinson said in a statement. “His productivity and strategic acumen have been nothing short of extraordinary.”

Sportsman Boats has a workforce of 450 and 375,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Summerville, S.C. The company has more than 60 dealers and partnerships with Yamaha, Mercury, Garmin, Dometic and Seakeeper.

In 2022, Sportsman launched Phenom center consoles, which sell factory-direct.
