Vesconite, a maker of high-performance polymers, said it appointed Sharon McArdle as its new marine representative.

McArdle comes to the position from the industrial side of Vesconite sales, and the company said she is well versed in the polymers’ performance qualities and specifications.

“I welcome the challenge of selling into the marine industry,” McArdle said in a statement. “From water-ski boats to oil tankers, our materials are used in countless applications on board, but especially below the waterline.”

Her duties will encompass new-business development, sales and customer support. She is studying marketing and exporting to better serve the company and its clients.

McArdle and Vesconite CEO Jean-Patrick Leger will be at the International WorkBoat Show, which opens Wednesday and continues through Friday in New Orleans, at Booth 2861.
