Walstrom Marine is expanding its footprint in the Great Lakes region. After last year acquiring Grand Bay Marine, which has locations in Traverse City and Charlevoix, Mich., the company is working to merge the two, according to a report by Petoskey News-Review.

Grand Bay Marine will remain its own entity in Traverse City, and the Charlevoix location will be rebranded Walstrom Marine. Walstrom is based in Harbor Springs, Mich., with locations in Traverse City, Bay Harbor, Charlevoix, Cheboygan and Algonac, Mich.

As part of the merger, Walstrom is reportedly keeping much of the staff from Grand Bay and is looking to hire additional personnel. With the acquisition, the company adds Tiara, Sea Ray, Chris-Craft, Nauticstar, Pursuit and Crest to its current brands, Regal, Bayliner, Starcraft, Godfrey, Robalo, Yamaha and Mercury.
