Yamaha Motor Corp.’s U.S. Marine Business Unit yesterday announced the appointment of Bryan Seti to vice president of the Boat Business Unit and Ben Mallett to vice president of marine development. The Boat Business Unit includes the WaterCraft Business Group, G3 Boats and Skeeter Boats.

Seti also will serve as president of Skeeter and will continue to lead PWC and sportboat sales and marketing. Mallett will lead product and advanced development teams at the Yamaha Marine Innovation Center.

Dean Burnett, formerly vice president of the U.S. Marine Business Unit, will transition to president of the Motorsports U.S. Business Unit. He replaces Mike Martinez, who is retiring.

“Bryan and Ben both have a long tenure with Yamaha and a deep understanding of the marine industry. Their experience and knowledge will serve these teams well as we move our products into the future,” Ben Speciale, president of the U.S. Marine Business Unit, said in a statement. “We’re grateful for Dean’s contributions to Yamaha Marine over the years and know he will continue to drive success in his new role with Motorsports.”

Seti most recently was general manager of the WaterCraft Group. During his 27 years with Yamaha Motor Corp., he led the group through growth and success, establishing Yamaha as the sales leader in the PWC and sportboat categories, according to the company.

Mallett previously served as general manager of Bennett Marine, which became a division of Yamaha Marine Systems Co. in 2017.

Seti and Mallett both report directly to Speciale.
