We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a passion for the marine industry to join our team. This job will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs across digital and print media, supporting branding & marketing campaigns, and product promotion. This job will also be responsible for assisting with our website management and maintaining all assets in our PhotoShelter library.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically produce content for various platforms including website, social media, publications and advertising, boat show booth displays, boat builder and dealer networks, and more.
- Assists in various promotional activities directed by the Department Manager, including trips, major events, new product introductions, advertising campaigns, and boat shows.
- Work with our Website management team to ensure all assets are continuously up to date.
- Main POC for all PhotoShelter questions and asset management within the application.
- Create promotional materials including brochures, catalogs, social media content and email graphics.
- Edit and retouch product images, including boats, marine equipment, and underwater photography.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support market strategies.
- Assist in packaging marketing and POP material for various events and campaigns.
- Flexibility to work on other advertising or marketing initiatives as directed by the Department Manager, showcasing versatility and adaptability in supporting broader organizational goals.
- Assist in the production of video content, including graphics and animations (optional based on experience).
- Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take direction and feedback constructively while contributing ideas.
- Interest or background in boating, sailing, diving, or marine recreation is a strong plus.
- Concept, design and production of print and digital deliverables that adhere the Suzuki Marine style guide
- Work with Department Manager and other designer to meet deadlines and ensure brand consistency across all brand platforms.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in the marine, outdoor, or adventure/lifestyle industries.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects is a plus).
- Experience working with PhotoShelter.
- Strong portfolio showcasing both digital and print design work.
- Experience with brand identity, environmental design, digital design and motion design
- Experience designing for high-end/premium brands with an excellent eye for detail, composition, and color.
- Familiarity with marine terminology and boat components preferred but not required.
- Strong multi-tasking with attention to detail and excellent organizational & time management skills
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
