The Viking Marine Group this week held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of a $15 million, 30,000-square-foot sales showroom and service center in Riviera Beach, Fla.
The facility, which will carry the Valhalla, Contender and Sportsman brands, has both indoor and outdoor showrooms capable of displaying up to 30 boats.
“We’re extremely excited,” Viking Yacht Co. president and CEO Pat Healey said in a statement. “We never stop investing in the future, and this $15 million project serves as the latest example of our commitment to offering our owners the best boats, service and customer care. We’re also very proud to bring this valuable marine business development to Palm Beach County.”
More than 250 people attended the ceremony, including Viking and Valhalla staff, dealers, and representatives from Sportsman and Contender. Additionally, several elected officials were in attendance, including U.S. Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick and Riviera Beach Mayor Ronnie Felder.
“This project catapults the Broadway Corridor as we continue to develop our marine area, and is ideal in what we are looking for in Riviera Beach,” Felder said in the statement. “This gives me great hope that Riviera Beach is on the rise and should act as a catalyst for future business development.”
